These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ExpireAI mobile application and backend service (the "Service"), operated by the ExpireAI team ("we").
By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
ExpireAI helps you remember things that expire by extracting dates, amounts, and other useful fields from documents you upload (bills, subscription emails, passports, warranties, etc.) and reminding you before the deadline.
The Service uses third-party AI (Google Gemini API) to read uploaded files. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
3. Accounts
- You may use the Service as an anonymous guest with limited functionality, or by creating an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your authentication credentials confidential.
- You may delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account.
4. Your content
4.1 Ownership
Everything you upload remains yours. We do not claim any ownership over your files or extracted text.
4.2 License to operate the Service
You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store your files, transmit them to our AI sub-processor for analysis, and display extracted data back to you. This license exists solely to operate the Service and ends when you delete the content or your account.
4.3 Permitted use
You may only upload documents that you own or are authorized to upload, and that do not violate any law, regulation, intellectual-property right, or third-party privacy right.
4.4 Prohibited content
You may not upload malware, viruses, or files designed to harm our systems. You must not upload sensitive identity documents of others without their explicit consent. We may remove content and suspend accounts for violations.
5. AI extraction — accuracy disclaimer
The Service uses an AI model to read your documents. AI output is not always accurate:
- Dates, amounts, and provider names may be misread.
- The model may miss relevant items or invent details.
You are responsible for verifying important deadlines (passport expiry, tax deadlines, contractual obligations, etc.) using authoritative sources. We are not liable for missed deadlines or financial loss resulting from AI errors.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code or AI prompts, and not to use automated scripts to spam or scrape our API endpoints.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING MISSED DEADLINES, LOST PROFITS, OR DATA LOSS.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by local applicable laws and regulations. Any disputes will be resolved in competent local courts.
